I just posted several days ago an article entitled The Wonderful NEHGS. Now they announce this week a summer sale on their Annual Research membership. The New England Historic Genealogical Society has discounted some of its memberships by as much as 20% but you must sign up during the month of July, 2009.
During its Summer Membership Sale, NEHGS is offering its Research Membership for the discounted price of $60 (regular price is $75) for a year and its Family Membership for $75 (regular price $90). The Research Membership offers the following:
• Annual Membership
• Access to all areas of NewEnglandAncestors.org website
• Unlimited use of Research Library in Boston
• Access to their manuscript and rare books collections which are available only to members
• Access to premium databases like the Early American Newspapers collection
• Subscriptions to New England Ancestors Magazine and The New England Historical and Genealogical Register (NEHGR)
• Discounts on research services, sales, DNA research and other programs
The Family Membership offers the same benefits but for up to three persons in a family (living at the same address).
Read the following article on the success I had in finding and using this organization; and I am from West Virginia, not New England.
